Job Title: Content & Social Media Manager
Location: Chewton Mendip, BA3 2HQ (Hybrid Working)
Contract: Fixed-Term Contract – 12 Months (Maternity Cover)
Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 per annum
Role Overview
We are seeking a creative and commercially focused Content & Social Media Manager to join a fast-growing and well-established ecommerce retail brand on a 12-month maternity cover contract.
This role will take ownership of content strategy and storytelling across multiple channels including social media, website, email marketing, and PR. Working closely with the wider ecommerce and marketing teams, you will help drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and revenue growth through compelling multi-channel campaigns and content.
The successful candidate will combine strong creative content skills with commercial awareness and performance-focused marketing expertise. You will play a key role in managing the content and trading calendar, growing organic social engagement, and delivering high-quality campaigns that strengthen brand visibility and customer connection.

Key Responsibilities
Manage content strategy across social media, website, email marketing, and PR channels
Plan and deliver engaging campaigns aligned with ecommerce and commercial objectives
Manage organic social media activity across Instagram, Pinterest, and related platforms
Create high-quality written and visual content including photography, video, and editorial campaigns
Deliver and optimise weekly email marketing campaigns through testing and segmentation
Collaborate with influencers, media contacts, and brand partners to increase visibility and engagement
The Successful Applicant
Essential Skills & Experience
Proven experience within a content, social media, or digital marketing role
Previous experience within ecommerce, retail, or consumer brand environments
Track record of growing engagement and audiences across organic social channels
Experience delivering email marketing campaigns with a focus on optimisation and performance
Strong content creation skills across copywriting, imagery, and video
Experience using Adobe Creative Suite or similar creative tools
Good understanding of digital marketing channels and performance metrics
Excellent organisational skills with experience managing content calendars and campaigns
Strong written communication skills with excellent attention to detail
Ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced commercial environment

Instagram
Pinterest
Email marketing platforms
Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent creative tools
Google Analytics
Content scheduling and campaign management tools
Desirable
Experience within fashion, lifestyle, retail, or consumer-led ecommerce brands
Knowledge of influencer marketing and brand partnership activity
Understanding of ecommerce trading and digital customer journeys
Experience working across both creative and commercially focused campaigns
Salary & Benefits
£35,000 – £45,000 per annum
Performance-based bonus paid twice yearly
