Role Overview

Bitfinex is seeking a highly skilled and product-focused Product Designer to help shape the future of digital finance and decentralised technology.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a globally recognised cryptocurrency and trading platform at the forefront of financial innovation. Working within a small, high-impact design team, the successful candidate will take ownership of product experiences across web and mobile platforms, contributing directly to product strategy, user experience, and platform evolution.

The role combines product thinking, UX/UI design, and cross-functional collaboration within a fast-moving and highly autonomous environment. You will work closely with Product, Engineering, and Leadership teams to simplify complex financial workflows, improve usability, and create intuitive experiences for a global user base.

This position is ideal for a commercially aware and technically confident Product Designer who enjoys solving complex problems, working independently, and contributing to meaningful innovation within fintech and digital assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end product design across web and mobile platforms from discovery through to developer handoff

• Design intuitive and scalable user experiences for trading and financial products

• Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams to shape product direction and user-focused solutions

• Contribute to and evolve the design system to ensure consistency and scalability across the platform

• Create high-quality UI, interaction design, and user flows for complex digital products

• Work within Agile teams to rapidly iterate, improve, and deliver impactful product experiences

The Successful Applicant

Essential Skills & Experience

• Minimum 3 years’ experience designing complex digital products

• Strong product thinking with the ability to solve user and business problems effectively

• Advanced proficiency using Figma and working within design systems

• Experience designing for both web and mobile platforms

• Strong understanding of UX, interaction design, usability, and scalable product experiences

• Experience collaborating closely with developers and understanding technical constraints

• Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills

• Highly autonomous and proactive working style

• Strong attention to detail and visual consistency

• Comfortable working with ambiguity and independently driving solutions forward

Technical & Platform Knowledge

• Figma

• UX/UI design methodologies

• Design systems and component libraries

• Web and mobile product design

• Agile product development environments

• Interaction design and usability principles

Desirable

• Experience within fintech, cryptocurrency, trading, or data-heavy platforms

• Knowledge of financial products, trading systems, or data visualisation

• Degree or qualification in Design, UX/UI, HCI, Multimedia Design, or related disciplines

• Experience working within remote-first or global technology businesses
