Graphic Designer (Data Visualisation & Infographics)

A small, specialist design team within Dow Jones is seeking a Graphic Designer to support the visual storytelling of the Oxford Analytica Daily Brief and wider Risk/Advisory products. The role focuses on transforming complex geopolitical, economic, and analytical content into clear, engaging visuals that enhance understanding and support editorial insight.
Working in a fast-paced, newsroom-style environment, you will collaborate closely with analysts, editors, and advisory teams to produce data-led graphics, infographics, and digital content used across reports, publications, and marketing channels.
Key Responsibilities
Design charts, maps, and data visualisations for the Oxford Analytica Daily Brief
Create and support weekly infographics in collaboration with analysis teams
Produce visual materials for advisory reports, including diagrams, charts, and supporting graphics
Design long-form reports and publications, managing layout from development through to print production
Support production of event materials, briefing books, and external presentations
Create marketing and promotional graphics explaining Daily Brief features and benefits
Design assets for social media campaigns and digital outreach
Assist with simple video editing and motion content for social platforms
Contribute design ideas to improve brand presentation and visual communication standards
Provide general design support across departments as needed
Requirements
Strong experience using Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop
Interest or experience in data visualisation and infographic design
Ability to interpret complex information and translate it into clear visual storytelling
Experience working in a B2B or editorial/communications environment
Familiarity with tools such as Canva or Adobe Express (advantageous)
Basic video editing and social media content experience is beneficial
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Collaborative mindset with the ability to work closely with analysts and editorial teams
