Overview The Grove Venue is seeking a skilled Freelance Lighting and Sound Technician to support live events and multimedia productions.

This is a hands-on role focused on delivering high-quality visual and audio experiences, ensuring smooth technical execution across events, filming, and production projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate lighting systems for live events and productions

• Manage sound equipment including microphones, mixers, and amplifiers

• Troubleshoot technical issues during live and recorded sessions

• Collaborate with production teams to align technical setup with creative goals

• Maintain and calibrate equipment to ensure performance and safety

• Record and manage audio for events and filming

• Support basic videography and production needs where required

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Lighting or Sound Technician

• Strong understanding of lighting design and sound engineering

• Experience with professional lighting and audio equipment

• Familiarity with video editing software (e.g. Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, Avid)

• Ability to troubleshoot quickly under pressure

• Strong communication and teamwork skills
