Job Title: Head of Marketing
Location: Driffield (Hybrid Working)
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: £50,000 – £70,000 per annum
Role Overview
A national construction business is seeking an experienced Head of Marketing to lead and deliver its marketing strategy across the UK and Northern Europe. Reporting as a key member of the Management Team, this senior leadership role will be responsible for driving brand awareness, lead generation, customer engagement, and commercial growth across both temporary and permanent modular sectors.
Working closely with executive leadership, sales teams, business development advisers, and operational stakeholders, you will oversee all aspects of marketing, communications, digital marketing, PR, CRM, and demand generation. Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
Develop and implement the company's marketing strategy in line with business growth objectives
Contribute to annual business planning and long-term strategic development
Identify emerging market opportunities, industry trends, and competitive threats
Provide regular performance reporting, insights, and recommendations to the Management Team
Build strong relationships with executive leadership and key stakeholders across the business
Brand & Market Positioning
Lead the development and protection of company brands
Ensure consistent brand messaging across all channels and customer touchpoints
Develop compelling value propositions for target sectors and markets
Strengthen brand awareness and market positioning across the UK and Northern Europe
Drive initiatives that enhance market visibility and competitive differentiation
Demand Generation & Sales Enablement
Develop and execute data-driven lead generation programmes
Support revenue growth through targeted sector campaigns and account-based marketing initiatives
Work closely with sales and business development teams to maximise pipeline generation
Drive customer acquisition strategies across digital and traditional channels
Support market penetration and growth initiatives through targeted marketing activity
Digital Marketing & CRM
Lead digital marketing activity including SEO, PPC, website optimisation, social media, email marketing, and marketing automation
Oversee CRM strategy to improve lead management and customer insight
Utilise analytics and performance data to optimise campaigns and marketing investment
Improve conversion rates and maximise return on marketing spend
Public Relations & Communications
Develop and manage PR and external communications strategies
Identify opportunities for thought leadership, industry recognition, and awards
Manage crisis communications when required
Ensure consistent messaging across all external communications
Market Intelligence & Customer Insights
Monitor customer needs, competitor activity, and market trends
Develop customer insight programmes to improve marketing effectiveness
Identify opportunities for market expansion and business growth
Use research and data to inform strategic decision-making
Leadership & Team Development
Lead, mentor, and develop the internal marketing team
Manage relationships with external agencies, consultants, and suppliers
Establish clear KPIs and performance objectives
Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
Internal Communications & Employer Branding
Support employer branding and recruitment marketing initiatives
Promote company culture, values, and employee engagement programmes
Collaborate with HR and ESG teams on internal communications activity
Financial Management
Manage and monitor the annual marketing budget
Ensure all marketing expenditure delivers measurable ROI
Evaluate campaign effectiveness and commercial impact
Provide budget forecasts and performance reporting to senior leadership
The Successful Applicant
Essential
Degree qualified in Marketing, Business, or a related discipline
Minimum 7 years’ marketing experience, including at least 3 years in a senior leadership role
Proven experience developing and delivering successful marketing strategies
Strong expertise in digital marketing, CRM, lead generation, and demand generation
Experience managing senior stakeholders and influencing business strategy
Excellent leadership, communication, and people management skills
Strong commercial awareness and results-driven mindset
Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery
Experience managing budgets and demonstrating marketing ROI
Desirable
CIM qualification
Experience within construction, manufacturing, engineering, rental, or other B2B sectors
Experience managing multiple brands or business units
Strong understanding of account-based marketing and sales enablement
Experience leading agency relationships and supplier procurement
Knowledge of Northern European markets
Salary & Benefits
£50,000 – £70,000 per annum
Hybrid working model
25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
