Location: Belvedere, South East London (On-Site)
Contract: Freelance, Full-Time
Salary: £120 per day
Role Overview
James Glancy Design is seeking a practical and hands-on Freelance Set Dresser to support the refurbishment, creation, and preparation of bespoke decorative installations at its South East London warehouse facility.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys physical, team-based work and takes pride in creating high-quality decorative pieces for large-scale immersive installations and venue projects. You will work across a variety of practical production tasks, supporting both decoration manufacturing and warehouse operations.
The successful candidate will be proactive, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining strong health & safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Set Dressing & Decoration Production
Paint, repair, clean, and refurbish decorative items and installations
Create bespoke decorations by attaching lights and decorative elements to structures
Assist with the assembly and preparation of large-scale decorative pieces
Ensure all finished items meet quality and presentation standards
Warehouse & Logistics Support
Package decorations carefully to ensure safe transportation to sites
Safely handle stock and decorations between storage and production areas
Support the Operations team with loading and unloading trucks and vans when required
Maintain tidy, organised, and safe working areas throughout the warehouse
Health & Safety & Team Collaboration
Follow all health & safety procedures and warehouse regulations
Work collaboratively with team members to meet production targets and deadlines
Maintain concentration and quality control across repetitive and detailed tasks
Take personal responsibility for workmanship and workplace standards
