Role Overview
Klass Ladieswear is seeking an experienced Freelance Field Visual Merchandiser to support its concessions within Dobbies Garden Centres across the region. This role combines visual creativity with commercial awareness, requiring someone who can independently manage concession spaces while maintaining strong brand standards and driving in-store sales performance.
Working across multiple locations, you will be responsible for ensuring each concession is visually engaging, commercially effective and aligned with company guidelines.
This is an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated visual merchandiser with a strong fashion retail background who enjoys field-based work and managing stores independently.
Key Responsibilities
Visual Merchandising & Store Standards
• Maintain high visual merchandising standards across allocated concessions• Implement floor layouts, mannequin styling and POS displays in line with brand guidelines• Ensure all stock is unpacked, displayed and merchandised efficiently• Manage promotional activity, markdowns and seasonal updates
Commercial Performance & Stock Management
• Monitor stock levels and report discrepancies to Head Office
• Support end-of-season stock returns and store transitions
• Maintain awareness of key product lines, trends and best sellers• Proactively identify opportunities to improve store presentation and sales performance
Store Visits & Reporting
• Complete scheduled store visits across the region
• Build positive relationships with concession partners and in-store teams
• Record store feedback, photography and reporting through the company’s visual auditing app
• Communicate effectively with the Visual Merchandising Manager and Head Office teams
Independent Working & Organisation
• Manage workload and travel schedules independently
• Adapt quickly to changing in-store requirements and priorities
• Maintain a professional and organised approach while working remotely across multiple sites
The Successful Applicant
Essential:
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a visual merchandising or fashion retail role• Strong understanding of fashion retail and commercial merchandising• Ability to work independently and manage multiple locations• Excellent organisational and time management skills• Strong eye for detail and visual presentation• Confidence in communicating with store teams and management
Preferred:
• Previous field-based visual merchandising experience• Knowledge of current fashion trends and seasonal merchandising• Experience using visual auditing or reporting apps
