Job Title: E-Commerce Manager
Location: Ipswich, Suffolk
Contract: Permanent / Full-Time
Salary: £42,000 – £48,000 per annum
Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and commercially focused E-Commerce Manager to lead and optimise the organisation’s day-to-day e-commerce operations. This role will take ownership of the online trading platform, product catalogue management, website development support, and digital performance strategy.
The successful candidate will play a key role in driving commercial growth, enhancing customer experience, and supporting the integration of newly acquired businesses into the e-commerce platform. Working closely with Marketing, IT, Sales, Procurement, and Operations teams, you will ensure the online platform remains customer-focused, commercially competitive, and aligned with wider business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day operation and performance of the e-commerce platform
Maintain accurate product listings, pricing, imagery, and online merchandising
Support website redevelopment projects and ongoing platform improvements
Monitor e-commerce performance, customer behaviour, and commercial KPIs
Plan and manage promotions, seasonal campaigns, and pricing strategies
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve online customer experience
The Successful Applicant
Essential Skills & Experience
Proven experience within an e-commerce management role, ideally within B2B or retail environments
Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms, online merchandising, and customer journey optimisation
Experience using web analytics tools such as Google Analytics
Knowledge of SEO, SEM, and wider digital marketing strategies
Experience managing product catalogues, promotional campaigns, and pricing strategies
Strong project management skills with the ability to drive e-commerce growth initiatives
Analytical mindset with experience monitoring KPIs and making data-driven decisions
Excellent communication, organisation, and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work collaboratively across Marketing, Sales, IT, Operations, and Customer Service teams
Technical & Platform Knowledge
E-commerce CMS platforms
Google Analytics and reporting tools
SEO and digital marketing principles
Product data management and online merchandising
Website optimisation and customer experience improvement
Desirable
Experience supporting website redevelopment or digital transformation projects
Familiarity with integrating products and systems from newly acquired businesses
Experience within fast-paced commercial or retail-led environments
Understanding of inventory management and online stock control processes
